I really enjoyed this dark historical mystery that explores the origin of Sherlock Holmes most famous foe. I will definitely keep reading this series.
I love this so much. I was hesitant at first because of the kaiju of it all, the mangaka hooked me quickly with a highly engaging protagonist. I cannot wait to continue.
This manga had an intriguing premise, but something about how it was told confused me more than engaged me in the story.

I knew that this would not likely be one of my favorites, but I needed more pages for my magical readathon goal. This comic does a decent job telling the story but it’s extremely short length and determination to tell seemingly the whole story, did it a disservice.
The art is beautiful and the underlying story heartbreaking but the twist felt contrived.
I did not mind this one, but knew that picking up just the third in a series would give me a disadvantage. I don’t understand the adding of familiars in it otherwise completely realistic setting.

From the synopsis, I thought this was a memoir. It’s actually a fantasy. Well not quite my cup of tea, I loved seeing the Armenian representation and will definitely keep it on my shelves.
I enjoyed the second book in the series just as much as the first book in the series. This book brings in a new character, longing for family and figuring out what to do with your magic.
I enjoyed the 3 volumes of omnibus 4 more than omnibus 5 but I still love watching the adventures of Luffy and the crew.

I love the two comics I have Reid for the 13th doctor. They have a consistency to the story that a lot of the earlier runs of the comics do not. These stories were fantastic!
The series comes to a well done conclusion with this story that explorers the driving conflict of both of the first two books where Astor wants to compete for midwinter, which even though many still think boys should not be witches, and Ariel makes contact with her biological family and discover who she really is.
While I enjoyed the art just as much as the others from this author/illustrator, this story did not capture me the same way that the trilogy I finished right before had. This so-called love between the two main characters felt rushed and juvenile.
